The Tribal Alloy SAR is a Semi-Automatic Rifle skin in Rust with raised chrome tribal blades over a dark gunmetal body. It was accepted into the game on June 25, 2026, and it is now the most traded SAR skin in Rust: 1,029 copies were for sale across 12 markets on November 6, 2026, with the cheapest at $1.46 and Steam at $1.95.
Below is what the skin looks like, its real price on every market we checked, the rest of the Tribal Alloy set, how it stacks up against other popular SAR skins, and how to put it on your rifle in game. It is part of our best SAR skins list, and if you want the gun itself, see our Semi-Automatic Rifle guide.
What the Tribal Alloy SAR Looks Like
The skin turns the plain SAR into a dark, almost black rifle covered in polished chrome tribal shapes. The blades are raised, not flat paint, so they catch light as you move. The grip and lower parts stay dark, and the only colour on the whole gun is a small red tip on the front sight.
| Detail | Tribal Alloy SAR |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Semi-Automatic Rifle (SAR) |
| Artists | Coba, with WR2ME |
| Workshop item | 3740826313 (submitted June 7, 2026) |
| Accepted into Rust | June 25, 2026 |
| Workshop subscribers | 22,773 |
| Glow or see-through parts | No glow; the model uses cutout (transparent) sections |
| Iron sights | Same SAR sights, with a red-tipped front post |
| Breaks down into | 1 Metal (Steam inventory) |
| Tradable / marketable | Yes, after a 7 day hold |
Like every Rust skin, it is cosmetic only. Damage, recoil, fire rate and attachments are the same as a default SAR. The chrome is bright in sunlight, so it stands out more on open ground than a dark or camo skin would.
Tribal Alloy SAR Price on Every Market
On November 6, 2026, the cheapest Tribal Alloy SAR was $1.46 on Skinport. Most big sites sat between $1.46 and $1.55. Steam’s lowest listing was $1.95, and a live check of the Steam Market on November 7 showed $2.24 lowest and $2.31 median, with 58 sold in the previous 24 hours.
| Market | Cheapest | Listed |
|---|---|---|
| Skinport | $1.46 | 22 |
| RapidSkins | $1.47 | 2 |
| Lis-Skins | $1.48 | 98 |
| CS.Deals | $1.49 | 562 |
| Avan Market | $1.50 | 11 |
| DMarket | $1.55 | 27 |
| Rust.tm | $1.55 | 13 |
| Waxpeer | $1.55 | 23 |
| Steam Community Market | $1.95 | 167 |
| SkinSwap | $1.96 | 97 |
| CS.Trade | $2.86 | 5 |
| Mannco | $8.41 | 2 |
Over half of all copies (562) were on CS.Deals, which is a sign the skin is traded a lot by bots and in bulk. That much supply keeps the price low and steady, so it is unlikely to jump soon.
The Tribal Alloy Set: AR, SAP and SAR
The Tribal Alloy look came out on three guns over five weeks in 2026: the Tribal Alloy AR (Assault Rifle) on May 21, the Tribal Alloy SAP (Semi-Automatic Pistol) on June 11 and the SAR on June 25. All three share the same chrome tribal style, so you can match your early and mid game guns.
| Skin | Gun | Cheapest | Steam | Listed | Accepted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tribal Alloy AR | Assault Rifle (AK) | $0.91 | $1.28 | 408 | May 21, 2026 |
| Tribal Alloy SAP | Semi-Automatic Pistol | $1.74 | $2.57 | 410 | Jun 11, 2026 |
| Tribal Alloy SAR | Semi-Automatic Rifle | $1.46 | $1.95 | 1,029 | Jun 25, 2026 |
The full set cost about $4.11 at the cheapest listings, or $5.80 on Steam. The SAR has more than twice as many copies for sale as the other two, which makes it the easiest of the three to buy.
Tribal Alloy SAR vs Other Popular SAR Skins
We ranked all 164 SAR skins with market data by how many copies were for sale. The Tribal Alloy SAR came first, ahead of the Heat Seeker SAR, and it is one of the cheapest skins in the top six.
| # | SAR skin | Listed | Cheapest | Steam | Year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tribal Alloy SAR | 1,029 | $1.46 | $1.95 | 2026 |
| 2 | Heat Seeker SAR | 870 | $3.18 | $4.52 | 2025 |
| 3 | Redemption SAR | 473 | $1.57 | $2.30 | 2023 |
| 4 | HellCore SAR | 471 | $2.73 | $4.25 | 2026 |
| 5 | Blackout SAR | 384 | $1.95 | $2.54 | 2022 |
| 6 | Pirate SAR | 333 | $0.63 | $0.84 | 2024 |
If you want a darker, quieter look, the Blackout SAR is close in price. If you want something louder, the Heat Seeker SAR costs about twice as much. For the full ranked list with every top pick, see our best Rust SAR skins page.
How to Get and Apply the Tribal Alloy SAR
- Get the skin. Buy it on the Steam Market listing or a trusted site (see where to buy Rust skins). It goes into your Steam inventory, and Steam purchases may hold it for 7 days before you can trade it on.
- Craft with it. Open the crafting menu, select the Semi-Automatic Rifle and pick Tribal Alloy from the skin list before you craft.
- Or reskin one you have. Put any SAR into a repair bench, choose Tribal Alloy and apply. Reskinning costs nothing extra.
- Keep it forever. The skin lives in your Steam inventory, not on the server, so you keep it through every Rust force wipe and can use it on any server.
Is the Tribal Alloy SAR Worth It?
For most players, yes. At about $1.50 it costs less than many SAR skins, it has a clean look that isn’t a cartoon theme, and there are so many copies for sale that you can always buy or sell it fast. It is not a skin to buy as an investment: with over a thousand copies listed, the price is more likely to drift down than up.
