CCTV Codes Rust: Every Monument Camera Code (2026 List)

Rust electrical guide, 2026

Every big monument in Rust has security cameras bolted to its walls, and every one of those cameras has a name. Type that name into a Computer Station and you are looking at the Large Oil Rig helipad, the Outpost street or the Cargo Ship deck from the safety of your own base. Those names are the CCTV codes.

This CCTV codes Rust guide lists every fixed monument camera code that works in 2026, explains the codes that change every wipe at the Underwater Labs and the Abandoned Military Base, shows exactly how to add a code to your station, and covers setting up your own CCTV cameras, PTZ cameras and drones.

TL;DR There are 45 fixed CCTV codes across 10 monuments: Large Oil Rig (13), Small Oil Rig (6), Missile Silo (5), Cargo Ship (5), Outpost (4), Ferry Terminal (4), Radtown (3), Bandit Camp (2), the Dome (2) and Airfield (1). They are the same on every server and every wipe and must be typed in CAPITALS. Sit at a Computer Station (craft it at Workbench 2 or buy one at Outpost for 300 scrap), type a code in the box at the bottom left and add it. The Underwater Labs and Abandoned Military Base use a fixed word plus random digits, so you have to read those in game.

All Rust CCTV Codes (2026)

Here is the full list in one table. Copy a code exactly as written, in capitals, with no spaces. These are the static cameras placed by Facepunch, so they work on every official server and do not change when the map force wipes.

Every other monument, including Launch Site, Military Tunnels, the Train Yard, the Power Plant and the Arctic Research Base, has no fixed camera you can add. The monuments guide covers what each of those places holds instead.

Codes that do not work Some older lists still include AIRFIELDGARAGE and COBALT1. Players who tested them found they do not add (the Ferry Terminal’s Cobalt camera only shows a number in game). OILRIG1EXHAUST also appears on a few lists but is not in the game’s current camera data. If a code in the table above ever stops working, Facepunch has renamed that camera in a map update; it does not change on a normal wipe.

Oil Rig CCTV Codes

The two oil rigs have more cameras than everywhere else put together: 13 on the Large Oil Rig and 6 on the Small Oil Rig. The codes follow a simple pattern. OILRIG1 is the small rig, OILRIG2 is the large one, and the ending tells you where the camera points: HELI for the helipad, DOCK for the boat dock, EXHAUST for the large rig’s chimney stack and L1 to L6 for each level.

–OILRIG2L4, OILRIG2L5Levels 4 and 5
–OILRIG2L6A to OILRIG2L6DLevel 6, four angles

The rig cameras are the most useful codes in the game. Before you fuel up a boat, check the dock and helipad cameras for parked boats and minicopters, then the upper level cameras to see who is already inside. If the heavy scientists are already walking around, someone just called them in. Our Oil Rig guide covers the run itself.

Outpost, Bandit Camp, Dome, Airfield and Radtown Codes

The land monuments have fewer cameras, but they cover the busiest spots on the map. The safe zone cameras are great for checking who is shopping before you leave, and the Dome cameras show whether anyone is climbing for the crates at the top.

Missile Silo, Cargo Ship and Ferry Terminal Codes

These three cover the big events. The Missile Silo cameras show the tower and both exits, so you can tell whether a group is inside before you drop in. The Cargo Ship cameras move with the ship: add them once and you can check the deck and holds wherever the ship is on its route, which makes it easy to see if another team is already on board.

Underwater Labs and Military Base Codes (Random)

Two monuments do not have fixed codes. Their cameras use a fixed word followed by random digits that are different on every server and every wipe, so no list online can give you the full code.

Rust CCTV codes that change every wipe: Underwater Labs cameras are a room name such as LAB, BRIG, CANTINA or SECURITYHALL plus four random digits, and the Abandoned Military Base uses COMPOUND or OUTDOOR plus a random number
Fixed prefix, random number.
MonumentCode formatHow to get the full code
Underwater LabsRoom name + 4 digits, for example LAB1234. Rooms: AUXPOWER, BRIG, CANTINA, CAPTAINQUARTER, CLASSIFIED, CREWQUARTERS, HALLWAY, INFIRMARY, LAB, LOCKERROOM, OPERATIONS, SECURITYHALL, TECHCABINETSit at the Computer Station inside the lab. Its camera list already holds that lab’s codes, so write them down.
Abandoned Military BaseCOMPOUND or OUTDOOR + a random numberRead it in game at the monument; it changes per server.

Each lab is built from random modules, so not every room name exists in every lab. Only the rooms your lab actually has will show up on its station.

How to Use CCTV Codes in Rust

All you need is a Computer Station. It is crafted at a Workbench Level 2 from 5 high quality metal, 1 Targeting Computer, 1 RF Broadcaster and 1 RF Receiver, or you can skip the loot-only Targeting Computer and buy a finished one at Outpost for 300 scrap. The station itself does not need power.

How to use a CCTV code in Rust in four steps: get a Computer Station by crafting it at Workbench 2 or buying it for 300 scrap, place it on a floor, hold E to sit at it, then type the code in capitals into the box at the bottom left
Place, sit, type, watch.
  1. Place the Computer Station on a floor or foundation, ideally in a walled room where nobody can shoot you while you watch.
  2. Hold E on the station to sit down and open the screen.
  3. Type the code into the identifier box at the bottom left, in capitals, for example OILRIG2L6A.
  4. Add it to your list. The camera is saved on that station. Repeat for every code you want.
  5. Click a saved camera to open its live feed and switch between them as you like.
Add them all once Saved cameras stay on the station until it is picked up or destroyed, so spend a minute on day one adding every rig, Silo and Cargo code. After that, checking the whole map is a few clicks.

Setting Up Your Own CCTV Cameras

The same station also shows your own cameras. Unlike the monument cameras, these need power and you choose their code yourself.

Your own CCTV network in Rust: the CCTV Camera is loot only, a PTZ camera is crafted from a CCTV Camera and 150 metal fragments at Workbench 2, a drone from a CCTV Camera and 200 metal fragments, and you hold E on a camera to set the identifier you then type at the station
Cameras, PTZ cameras and drones on your own station.
DeviceHow to get itNotes
CCTV CameraLoot only: locked crates, Bradley and heli crates, elite and military cratesFixed view, needs power
PTZ CCTV Camera1 CCTV Camera + 150 metal fragments at Workbench 2Pan, tilt and zoom from the station, needs power
Drone1 CCTV Camera + 200 metal fragments at Workbench 2Fly it from the station within a limited range
  1. Place and power the camera. Wire it to a battery or solar setup.
  2. Hold E on the camera and set its identifier. Pick something short you will remember, like FRONT or LOOT1.
  3. Type that identifier into your Computer Station and add it, exactly like a monument code.

Because CCTV cameras recycle into tech trash and also go into auto turrets, decide early whether a spare camera is worth more on your wall or in a turret.

Rust CCTV Tips

Six Rust CCTV tips: check the Oil Rig or Silo cameras before a run, type codes in capitals, buy the Computer Station for 300 scrap instead of crafting it, read Underwater Lab codes from the lab's own station, put a camera on each turret, and fly a drone to scout
Six ways to get more out of the cameras.
  • Scout before every monument run. A ten second look at the rig or Silo cameras can save you a wasted trip and a full kit.
  • Always type in capitals. A lowercase code will not add, and that is the most common reason a code seems broken.
  • Buy the station early. 300 scrap at Outpost is usually faster than hunting a Targeting Computer.
  • Copy lab codes on the spot. When you run an Underwater Lab, add its codes from the lab’s own station so you can watch it from home for the rest of the wipe.
  • Cover your turrets. A camera on each turret shows exactly where a raid is hitting.
  • Re-add after a wipe. The codes stay the same, but your station does not survive the monthly force wipe, so add them again on the new map.

Rust CCTV Codes FAQ

What are the CCTV codes in Rust?

They are fixed camera names you type into a Computer Station to watch a monument. There are 45 fixed codes across 10 monuments, such as OILRIG2HELI for the Large Oil Rig helipad, COMPOUNDSTREET for Outpost and CARGODECK for the Cargo Ship.

Do Rust CCTV codes change every wipe?

No. The monument codes are the same on every server and every wipe. Only the Underwater Labs and the Abandoned Military Base add random digits that change, and Facepunch can rename cameras in a map update.

Why is my CCTV code not working?

Codes are case sensitive, so type them in capitals with no spaces. Codes from old lists such as AIRFIELDGARAGE and COBALT1 do not add, and OILRIG1EXHAUST is not in the current camera data.

What are the Oil Rig camera codes in Rust?

The Small Oil Rig has OILRIG1HELI, OILRIG1DOCK and OILRIG1L1 to OILRIG1L4. The Large Oil Rig has OILRIG2HELI, OILRIG2DOCK, OILRIG2EXHAUST, OILRIG2L1, OILRIG2L2, OILRIG2L3A, OILRIG2L3B, OILRIG2L4, OILRIG2L5 and OILRIG2L6A to OILRIG2L6D.

How do I find the Underwater Lab camera codes?

They are a room name plus 4 random digits, such as LAB1234, and change per server. Sit at the Computer Station inside the lab and its camera list shows that lab’s full codes.

Does the Launch Site have CCTV codes?

No. Launch Site, Military Tunnels, the Train Yard, the Power Plant and the Arctic Research Base have no fixed cameras you can add.

Does a Computer Station need power in Rust?

No. The Computer Station works without power. Your own CCTV and PTZ cameras need power, but monument cameras do not need anything from you.

Can you craft a CCTV camera in Rust?

No. The CCTV Camera is loot only, from locked crates, Bradley and heli crates and elite or military crates. The PTZ camera and the drone are crafted from a CCTV Camera plus metal fragments at Workbench 2.
