Rust Twitch drops are free skins you earn by watching Rust streams on Twitch while a Facepunch drop campaign is live. You link your Steam and Twitch accounts once, watch drops enabled streams, claim each reward, and the skin lands in your Steam inventory, ready to use in game.

What Are Rust Twitch Drops?
Twitch drops are limited time rewards that Facepunch gives to people who watch Rust on Twitch during a campaign. The first Rust round ran in November 2020 and gave out a purple sunglasses, undies and headset set. Since then Facepunch has run a new round every month or two, usually tied to a big streamer event such as Rustoria, Twitch Rivals or FancyOrb’s Global Warfare.
Every reward is a cosmetic skin, a piece of Twitch branded furniture or, very rarely, a full item like the 2021 Ninja Suit. Skins do not change stats. A Rust Isles AR shoots exactly like a default Assault Rifle. For every other way to get skins, see our Rust skins guide.
Is There a Rust Twitch Drop Right Now?
No. As of 9 October 2026 there is no Rust Twitch drop campaign running. Round 53 (Rust Isles) ended on 4 October 2026 at 23:59 UTC, and Facepunch has not announced Round 54 yet.
Facepunch posts each round on its official drops page, twitch.facepunch.com, usually a few days before it starts, with the full list of items and participating streamers. Rounds have landed in February, April, May, July, August and September this year, and December has had a Twitch Rustmas or Twitch Rivals round in each of the last two years, so a winter round is likely but not confirmed. We update this page when the next round goes live.
How to Get Rust Twitch Drops
- Link your accounts. Go to twitch.facepunch.com, open the Connect page, sign in with Steam, then with Twitch. When both are linked the page shows “Successfully paired”. Press the button under it to activate drops. Without this link your watch time still counts on Twitch, but nothing reaches Steam.
- Own Rust on that Steam account. Family Sharing does not count. If you claim drops before buying the game, Facepunch keeps them for 180 days, and you get them by relinking and pressing “Check for missing drops” after you buy it.
- Watch a drops enabled stream. Any Rust stream with the Drops Enabled tag counts toward the general drops. Streamer drops only count on that streamer’s channel. Track progress on your Twitch drops inventory page.
- Press Claim. When a drop fills up, Twitch shows a notification. Claim it in your Twitch drops inventory before the round ends. Unclaimed progress is lost.
- Check Steam. It can take up to 10 minutes for the skin to show in your Steam inventory. After 30 minutes, see missing drops below.
You do not need Twitch Prime, a subscription or a microphone. Keep the stream playing at a low volume in a visible tab or window. Watching several Rust streams at once does not speed up progress, since Twitch counts one drop campaign at a time.
Round 53: Rust Isles General Drops
Round 53, Rust Isles, was hosted by Rustoria and ran from 24 September 2026 at 19:00 UTC to 4 October 2026 at 23:59 UTC. It had 22 drops: 6 general drops and 16 streamer drops shared by 26 streamers. General drops built up from watch time on any drops enabled Rust channel.

Each streamer drop needed 1 hour on one of the named channels. Some skins were shared by two streamers, so you only had to watch one of them.

Rust Kick Drops
Facepunch also runs drops on Kick. Rust was the first game to use Kick’s drops feature in November 2025, followed by a Rustmas round in December 2025. The 2026 event, Kick Off 2, had 150 creators streaming from 11 to 14 June, with drops claimable until 21 June 2026: 3 general drops and 11 creator drops.
Kick drops work the same way, but you link Steam and Kick at kick.facepunch.com, a separate page from the Twitch one. Linking one does not link the other.
Can You Trade or Sell Rust Twitch Drops?
No. Facepunch makes Twitch drop skins account bound. They do not show on the Steam Community Market, you cannot trade them, and they add nothing to your Rust inventory value. That is different from Item Store skins, which can be sold after a 7 day hold.
You will see sites and marketplace listings selling “all Twitch drops” bundles. Since the skins cannot move between accounts, these are really account sales or shared logins, which break Steam’s rules and are an easy way to lose your money or your account. If you missed a round, the honest answer is that its skins are gone.
How to Fix Missing Rust Twitch Drops
- Wait 30 minutes. Claimed items can take up to 10 minutes to arrive in Steam, sometimes a little longer when a round is busy.
- Press “Check for missing drops”. It is on twitch.facepunch.com after you sign in. It resends everything your Twitch account has claimed, including drops claimed before you linked Steam.
- Unlink and relink. If the pages show you are paired but nothing arrives, unlink both accounts, link them again, then check for missing drops.
- Lost the old Twitch account? Sign in with Steam on the connect page and press Unlink Account, then link the new one.
- Check the game is yours. Family Sharing and borrowed accounts cannot receive drops.
- Claim before the end. If you never pressed Claim on Twitch before the round closed, the item is lost for good.
Rust Twitch Drops Tips
- Link now, not on day one. Pairing takes a minute and stops the first hours of a round going to waste.
- Start with streamer drops. They need only 1 hour each, and the time on a drops enabled channel also builds your general drop progress.
- Claim every drop as it fills. Waiting until the last day is how people lose items.
- Leave it running. A low volume tab is enough. You do not have to chat or follow.
- Apply them on wipe day. Pick the skin in the crafting menu, or reskin placed items with a spray can. Check when the next Rust force wipe is so your new skins go on a fresh base.

Are there Rust Twitch drops right now?
No. As of 9 October 2026 no Rust Twitch drop campaign is live. Round 53, Rust Isles, ended on 4 October 2026, and Round 54 has not been announced. New rounds appear first on twitch.facepunch.com.
How do you get Rust Twitch drops?
Link your Steam and Twitch accounts at twitch.facepunch.com, watch a Rust stream with the Drops Enabled tag while a round is live, press Claim in your Twitch drops inventory when a drop fills, and the skin arrives in your Steam inventory within about 10 minutes.
What were the Rust Twitch drops in Round 53?
Round 53, Rust Isles, had 22 skins. The general drops were the Rustoria Med Box (1 hour), Rustoria Turret (2 hours), Rust Isles Small Wood Box (3 hours), Pants (4 hours), Boots (5 hours) and Hoodie (6 hours). The 16 streamer drops were Rust Isles skins for the Rocket Launcher, AR, SAR, DBS, Boonie Hat, Small Backpack, Furnace, Wooden Door, Large Wood Box, Sword, Garage Door, Locker, Facemask, Chestplate, Jacket and Tactical Gloves, 1 hour each.
Can you sell Rust Twitch drops?
No. Rust Twitch drop skins are account bound, so they cannot be traded or listed on the Steam Community Market.
Why did my Rust Twitch drops not show up?
Usually your Steam and Twitch accounts are not linked. Wait 30 minutes, then sign in at twitch.facepunch.com and press Check for missing drops. If that fails, unlink and relink both accounts. Family Sharing accounts cannot receive drops.
Can you get old Rust Twitch drops?
No. Once a round ends, its items cannot be earned or bought. The only exception is a drop you claimed on Twitch but never received, which you can still get with Check for missing drops.
Do Rust Kick drops work the same way?
Yes, but you link Steam and Kick at kick.facepunch.com instead. The 2026 Kick Off 2 event ran from 11 to 21 June 2026.
