Rust Kick drops are free Rust skins you earn by watching Rust streams on Kick while a Facepunch drop campaign is live. You link your Steam and Kick accounts once at kick.facepunch.com, watch streams with the Drops Enabled tag, claim each reward on Kick, and the skin shows up in your Steam inventory, ready to use in game.
Rust was the first game ever to get drops on Kick, back in November 2025. This guide covers whether a Kick drop is live right now, how to link and claim, every skin from all three Kick rounds so far (with real icons), how Kick drops differ from Twitch drops, and how to fix drops that never arrived.

What Are Rust Kick Drops?
Kick drops are limited time rewards that Facepunch gives to people who watch Rust on Kick during a campaign. Kick launched its platform wide drops feature in November 2025 with Rust as its very first partner, and Facepunch has run two more Kick rounds since then.
Every Kick reward so far has been a cosmetic skin, from the green KICK Hazmat to team skins tied to Kick creators like hJune, Willjum, Oilrats and CoconutB. Skins never change stats: a Team hJune + Frost AR shoots exactly like a default Assault Rifle, and the KICK Hazmat gives the same protection as a normal Hazmat Suit. For every other way to get skins, see our Rust skins guide.
Is There a Rust Kick Drop Right Now?
No. As of 21 October 2026 there is no Rust Kick drop campaign running. The last one, Kick Off 2, closed on 21 June 2026 at 23:00 UTC, and Facepunch has not announced another Kick round yet.
Kick rounds have been tied to big Kick events: the first Kick Off tournament in November 2025, a Rustmas round in December 2025, and Kick Off 2 in June 2026. Facepunch lists each new round on kick.facepunch.com a few days before it starts, with the items and the creators to watch. Last December had a Kick Rustmas round, so another winter round is possible, but it is not confirmed. We update this page as soon as one is announced.
Twitch is the place to be this month. Twitch Round 54, Base Invaders, runs from 23 October 2026 at 18:00 UTC to 1 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Details are on our Rust Twitch drops page.
How to Get Rust Kick Drops
- Make a free Kick account. You do not need a subscription, Kick Gems or a paid account.
- Link Steam and Kick. Go to kick.facepunch.com, open Connect, sign in with Steam, then with Kick. This is a different page from twitch.facepunch.com, so even if your Twitch account is linked you still have to link Kick.
- Own Rust on that Steam account. Family Sharing does not count. If you claim drops before you buy the game, Facepunch holds them for 180 days. Drops claimed more than 180 days ago expire.
- Watch a Drops Enabled stream. Any stream in the Rust category on Kick with the Drops Enabled tag counts toward the general drops. Creator (team) drops only count on the named creators’ channels.
- Press Claim on Kick. When a drop fills, claim it in your Kick drops inventory before the round ends.
- Check Steam. Claimed skins take up to 10 minutes to show in your Steam inventory. If they do not, see missing drops below.
Keep the stream playing in a visible tab or window at low volume. You do not need to chat or follow. Watch time builds on one channel at a time, so opening several Rust streams at once does not speed anything up.
Kick Off 2 Drops (June 2026)
Kick Off 2 was a creator tournament run by FancyOrb and CoconutB with 150 Kick streamers split into teams. The event was played from 11 to 14 June 2026, and drops ran from 11 June 2026 at 20:00 UTC to 21 June 2026 at 23:00 UTC, so you had ten days to watch and claim. Team Willjum + Sinks won the event. Rust set a new Kick record during it, peaking at about 311,000 viewers with roughly 15 million hours watched in four days.

Skin names are the in-game names from the Steam item data. Some guides count Kick Off 2 as 14 or 15 drops because they add bonus items such as a Kick wallpaper, but these 13 are the Rust skins it put into Steam inventories.
Round 1 Kick Drops (November 2025)
The very first Kick round ran from 13 November 2025 at 21:00 UTC to 23 November 2025 at 23:59 UTC, alongside the first Rust Kick Off event with over 150 invited streamers. It pushed Rust viewership on Kick up about 25 times, with around 3.1 million hours watched on day one alone. It had 14 skins: four general drops for total watch time, topped by the KICK Hazmat at 8 hours, and ten creator skins.
| Watch time | General skin | Item |
|---|---|---|
| 2 hours | KICK Rock | Rock |
| 4 hours | KICK Furnace | Furnace |
| 6 hours | KICK Double Armored Door | Armored Double Door |
| 8 hours | KICK Hazmat | Hazmat Suit |
The ten creator skins were the Spoonkid Armored Door, Welyn Fridge, hJune Jacket, xQc Bow, Oilrats Shotgun, Ser Winter Thompson, Trainwreckstv L96, Ricoy MP5, Panpots Bed and CoconutB Bag. Each needed about 2 hours on that creator’s team. The weapon skins are on the L96, Thompson and MP5 among others.
The KICK Hazmat is a skin of the normal Hazmat Suit. You cannot craft it from the menu, but once it is in your Steam inventory you can pick it when crafting a Hazmat Suit (Workbench 2, 4 Tarps, 2 Sewing Kits and 7 High Quality Metal), and it has the same stats.
Kick Rustmas Drops (December 2025)
The second Kick round ran over the holidays, from 18 December 2025 at 19:00 UTC (11:00 PST) to 1 January 2026 at 19:00 UTC. It was the longest Kick round so far and had only general drops: four candy cane and gingerbread themed skins for total watch time on any Drops Enabled Rust stream.
| Watch time | Skin | Item |
|---|---|---|
| 2 hours | KICK Rustmas Box | Large Wood Box |
| 4 hours | KICK Rustmas Crossbow | Crossbow |
| 6 hours | KICK Rustmas Door | Sheet Metal Door |
| 8 hours | KICK Rustmas Jackhammer | Jackhammer |
Every Rust Kick Drop Round

All three rounds are closed. Their shortnames and the base items they reskin are in our Rust item IDs list.
Rust Kick Drops vs Twitch Drops
Kick drops and Twitch drops work the same way, and the skins behave the same once they are in Steam. The differences:
- Separate link pages. Kick uses kick.facepunch.com, Twitch uses twitch.facepunch.com. Link both if you want every drop.
- Far fewer Kick rounds. Kick has had 3 rounds since November 2025. Twitch has had 53 since 2020 and Round 54 starts on 23 October 2026.
- Different skins. Each platform has its own items. A Kick round never gives Twitch skins, and the other way round.
- Team drops on Kick. Kick Off rounds give each team its own skin, usually 2 hours on either creator of that team. Twitch streamer drops are usually 1 hour.
For the full list of Twitch rounds and how to claim them, see our Rust Twitch drops guide. To find someone to watch, our Rust streams page lists who is live.
Can You Trade or Sell Rust Kick Drops?
No. Like Twitch drops, Kick drop skins are account bound. They are not tradable or marketable on Steam and add nothing to your Rust inventory value. Skins from the Rust Item Store are different and can be sold after a 7 day hold.
You will see marketplace listings selling “all Kick drops” accounts. Since the skins cannot move between accounts, those are account sales, which break Steam’s rules and often end with the seller taking the account back. If you missed a round, its skins are gone.
How to Fix Missing Rust Kick Drops
- Wait 30 minutes. Claimed items take up to 10 minutes, sometimes longer on a busy first day.
- Check you linked Kick, not just Twitch. This is the most common mistake. Sign in at kick.facepunch.com and make sure both accounts show as paired.
- Press “Check for missing drops”. It resends everything your Kick account claimed, including drops claimed before you linked Steam.
- Unlink and relink. If it shows paired but nothing arrives, unlink both, link again, then check for missing drops.
- Own the game. Family Sharing and borrowed accounts cannot receive drops, and anything claimed more than 180 days ago without the game has expired.
- Claim before the end. Progress you never claimed on Kick before the round closed is lost.
Once a skin is in Steam, pick it in the crafting menu or reskin placed items with a spray can. Check when the next Rust force wipe is so your new skins go on a fresh base.
Rust Kick Drops FAQ
Are there Rust Kick drops right now?
No. As of 21 October 2026 no Rust Kick drop campaign is live. The last Kick round, Kick Off 2, ended on 21 June 2026, and the next one has not been announced. The next Rust drop is on Twitch: Round 54, Base Invaders, from 23 October to 1 November 2026.
How do you get Rust Kick drops?
Link your Steam and Kick accounts at kick.facepunch.com, watch a Rust stream on Kick with the Drops Enabled tag while a round is live, press Claim in your Kick drops inventory when a drop fills, and the skin arrives in your Steam inventory within about 10 minutes.
What were the Kick Off 2 drops?
Kick Off 2 (11 to 21 June 2026) had 3 general drops, the Kick Box (2 hours), Kick Garage Door (4 hours) and Kick Locker (6 hours), plus 10 team skins: Willjum + Sinks Crossbow, hJune + Frost AR, Buddha + Erobb M249, Ricoy + Dilanzito SKS, Krolay + Raven Door, Panpots + V2 Door, Oilrats + Trausi Gloves, CoconutB + Winnie Backpack, Spoonkid + Throat Pickaxe and Welyn + Picco Axe.
How do you get the KICK Hazmat in Rust?
The KICK Hazmat was the 8 hour general drop in the first Kick round, 13 to 23 November 2025. That round is over, so it can no longer be earned. Players who claimed it can select it when crafting a Hazmat Suit at a Workbench 2.
Does linking Twitch also give me Kick drops?
No. Kick drops use kick.facepunch.com and Twitch drops use twitch.facepunch.com. Each platform needs its own link to your Steam account.
Can you sell Rust Kick drops?
No. Rust Kick drop skins are account bound, so they cannot be traded or listed on the Steam Community Market.
Why did my Rust Kick drops not show up?
Usually Kick is not linked to Steam, often because only Twitch was linked. Wait 30 minutes, sign in at kick.facepunch.com and press Check for missing drops. If that fails, unlink and relink both accounts. Family Sharing accounts cannot receive drops.
When is the next Rust Kick drop?
It has not been announced. Kick rounds have come in November 2025, December 2025 and June 2026, each tied to a Kick event. New rounds appear on kick.facepunch.com a few days before they start.
